Sine Nomine Associates: OpenAFS 1.8.8.1 - Maintenance Release for UNIX/Linux Announced

Dec. 15, 2021 - PRLog -- Sine Nomine Associates, Inc., a leader in open-source development and support, is pleased to announce the OpenAFS development release team's Holiday gift for OpenAFS users.

OpenAFS 1.8.8.1 is the next release in the current stable series of OpenAFS releases for UNIX/Linux systems. It adds support for current Linux mainline kernels (5.14, 5.15 and likely the upcoming 5.16), improves support for FreeBSD 12, and allows Solaris builds using Studio 12.6. Systems not requiring any of those changes can continue to use the 1.8.8 release.

Having worked with IBM Z for 40 years, and Linux for over 25 years, our team has helped to develop mainframe capabilities to levels never imagined.
