NEW YORK - Dec. 16, 2021 - PRLog -- The Electronic Gaming Federation, the national governing body for formalized collegiate D-I esports and high school level leagues, today announced their latest partnership, this one with all 11 schools in the Big Sky Conference, which will begin to roll out in the spring of 2022. EGF now has participation from over 200 teams representing almost 100 colleges and universities from across the country,  as well as full participation from both the MAAC and BIG EAST Conferences as well as the Big Sky.

This partnership will allow the conference to expand the titles all 11 universities have access to, as both Rocket League and Overwatch are now part of the Big Sky esports rotation thanks to the partnership with EGF. Additionally, EGF will provide resources to all Big Sky institutions to help develop and elevate esport programs within the conference. Big Sky schools will have a voice in EGF's governance structure, and the conference will continue to look at ways to incorporate an in-person championship experience for select titles and streaming opportunities with this partnership.

"Partnering with the Electronic Gaming Federation is a big step in the right direction toward advancing our vision for esports in the Big Sky," Commissioner Tom Wistrcill said. "Expanding the competition library available to our 11 member institutions thanks to support from a major player in the industry will provide immediate and significant benefits to our esports athletes and their campuses."

"We're incredibly excited to welcome the 11 schools of The Big Sky Conference to the EGFC Family starting this spring," said Tyler Schrodt Founder of the Electronic Gaming Federation. "This partnership again expands the diversity of thought and participation and further proves that our unified and consistent model is key to expanding and growing esports and gaming on college campuses across the country."
