SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Jan. 5, 2022 - PRLog -- SilkWeb Consulting & Development is honored to start 2022 as a certified 8(a) Small Business Enterprise. SilkWeb is a Woman and Native American-Owned Business founded in 2006 by Ms. Laurel Silk and Michael Shaw. the goal of the company was to improve learning outcomes through technology and make education more accessible.
Ms. Silk states, "When I started SilkWeb, I was focused on the business goals and not what it meant to be a woman-and-minority-owned business. I don't think those things were as celebrated then. Over the years, I've run the business in an honest and caring manner because that's who we are—who my team is. These amazing people have come together, and we all support each other to meet our goals. As a small business, it means really being there for each other on equal footing.
