As with the NIST2 the values are cross-checked on the primary pair of sensors. Should they be found to be out of calibration the sensor will failover to the backup temperature sensor. For critical monitoring applications such as vaccines, foodstuffs, and temperature- NIST2 and NIST3 sensors are available now from AKCP, and will ship as standard with all bundled base units and sensors.
