How To Stop a Neutered Cat From Spraying

WASHINGTON - Feb. 24, 2022 - PRLog -- Here are some useful tips on how to stop a neutered cat from spraying.

1. Consult a veterinarian.
Most cats spray urine if they're not feeling well or are stressed, especially if they have a urinary tract infection, kidney problems, diabetes, or thyroid problems.

2. Purchase additional litter boxes.
Cats sometimes spray urine around your house as there aren't enough litter boxes around, particularly if there are a lot of cats in your home. In general, you'll need one box for each cat, plus an extra. As a result, if you do have 2 cats, you will require three boxes.

3. Replace the litter boxes
If a cat dislikes the type of litter box they have, they may begin to urine outside the box. Using high-sided litter boxes can be extremely painful for older cats, who may be suffering from conditions like arthritis.

4. Remove any existing urine.
A cat spraying odor is not only unpleasant for you, but it also attracts your cat back to the area where he sprayed previously if the urine is not completely removed.

5. Attempt various types of litter.
For your cat, try a variety of litters to see if he prefers the one you're using.

6. Scoop the box once a day.
You, and your cat, do not want to use a filthy bathroom. You can easily remove urine and feces daily by scooping them out of your cat's litter box when using clumping litter. This helps keep the box fresh for your pet.

7. Discourage your cat from seeing neighborhood cats
It's possible for your cat to mark his territory by spraying urine all over your house if he sees other cats outside through the window.

8. Cat Spraying No More Guide
It is a complete program comprised of an 11-chapter book at its core. This book details a complete, tried-and-true, step-by-step system for preventing your cat from peeing & spraying outside of the litter box.

Included is a special herbal repellent mixture that will break your cat's habit of peeing in inappropriate locations, real-life examples of how other individuals have stopped their own cats from spraying in the house, warning signs to look for, critical rules and guidelines, and much more.
