NAACP Image Award Nominated Producer Launches ALIVE Podcast Network

WASHINGTON - March 3, 2022 - PRLog -- The launch of the ALIVE Podcast Network coincides with the founder and producer, Angel Livas' recent nomination from the NAACP Image Awards for her work on the hit podcast "Under Construction w/ Tamar Braxton."

The former reality TV star, Tamar Braxton and Livas joined forces in 2020 to create the show that allowed Tamar to heal out loud, and advocate for mental health awareness. Under Construction, which has been on hiatus for over-six months is slated to return to the airwaves under the ALIVE brand.

According to a recent report released by Edison Research, 59% of monthly Black podcast listeners would listen to more podcasts if there were more Black hosts. This is a problem that Livas, will solve by creating content that doesn't only appeal to diverse audiences - but, also amplifies Black voices.

"Our voices have been silenced, our messaging has been controlled, and our stories have been censored for much too long," says Livas. "We are ALIVE."

Livas is an award-winning producer and host and has created programming for such media giants as Emmy Award-winning hosts Jane Pauley and the late Larry King.

"Of my 20-plus years in media, I've spent the majority of my career producing audio content," says Livas. "I've watched Black voices be controlled by large organizations who had the final say in content distribution, as well as the vitality of programming. The ALIVE Podcast Network is determined to be an open, honest, and trusted source for audiences to engage with their favorite hosts, and for host to monetize their expertise."

The network is off to a fast start by producing its first original program "The Devil Is a Lie," which is written and produced by Livas. The new show has already hit Apple Podcast charts several times since its release in late December 2021.

ALIVE is creating an app that will speak directly to podcasters who are looking for a unique listening experience. Until the app's release, shows on the ALIVE Podcast Network can be found on all major podcast platforms including Apple, Google, iHeart, Spotify…just to name a few.
