HTTP VS. HTTPS: Which Is More Secure?

 
TORONTO - March 30, 2022 - PRLog -- There are some URLs that are safe to use and there are some which are not. You might have seen a URL begin with HTTP or HTTPS. This this appears to be a minute difference, but we are going to discuss how significant the difference truly is. Simply, when a website begins with HTTPS, this means it is safe and your connection is secure. For there to be this definition on a website, it requires it to have an SSL certification. We are going to go into more detail about what all this means and the relevance of it.

HTTP

All URLs are going to have HTTP at the beginning. This stands for hypertext transfer protocol. What this means is that the web browser and server are able to communicate through data exchange. So, when a webpage is open on your browser, it is going through the HTTP. One major drawback to this is that an HTTP is not secure. But what is the meaning for this?

Basically, when you do not have a secure web page, hackers from third-parties are able to get information submitted through the unsecure HTTP page. This is why you should never ever give out your personal or financial information on an HTTP website. This includes your address and credit card information. But luckily, there is HTTPS.
