Applications Due for Community First Health Plans Entrepreneurship Scholarship Program

SAN ANTONIO - March 31, 2022 - PRLog -- Community First Health Plans Empowering Pathways: Entrepreneurship Scholarship Program applications are due on April 3, 2022. This scholarship program is designed for Community First Health Plans Members who are interested in starting or growing their own small business.

The Entrepreneur Scholarship Program provides participants with the tools, knowledge, and support to build a strong business foundation. Participants will receive free business education, training programs, one-on-one mentorship, confidential business advice, extensive professional referral network, opportunities to expand their business or pivot to a new idea, and most especially lifelong business partnerships will be formed.

Through the help of Community First partners like the University of Texas at San Antonio Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and LiftFund, selected applicants will participate in a two-part educational series that will cover topics such as basic start-up knowledge, business plan structure, strategic planning, leadership, and marketing.

In addition, one-on-one business advising will help develop and refine business plans, identify sources of capital, analyze financial records, conduct specialized research for specific needs, and create marketing and advertising campaigns to grow their business.
