Financial Literacy Film Festival –Breaking Stigma of Financial Education

THE VILLAGES, Fla. - April 3, 2022 - PRLog -- THE VILLAGES, Florida – Impact Releasing Film Distribution Company is hosting its third annual Financial Literacy Film Festival from May 27 through 29, 2022 at the Old Mill Run in The Villages, Florida. In its third year, the Financial Literacy Film Festival is designed to educate, entertain, and unite audiences around one common theme – financial education.

In 2004 the National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE) deemed the month of April as Financial Literacy Month. The #FinLitFilmFest founders wanted to support the mission of Financial Literacy Month and chose to bring a creative aspect to the table. "We are striving to spark conversations about financial responsibility within communities, schools, families, and to share information with entrepreneurs," stated co-founder George Ohan. The #FinLitFilmFest unites amateur and professional filmmakers from around the world. A feature of the 2021 film festival was the global unification of filmmakers showcasing creative projects from all seven continents. "We united the entire globe with our Financial Literacy message by finding projects from all seven continents, including Antarctica!" Ohan boasted.

According to Ohan, financial literacy is, ". . . many things. . . Learning about HOW money works. Learning about the RULES of money. Learning about CREDIT and DEBT.
