Mistral Inaugurates its new R&D Centre at IITM Research Park

CHENNAI, India - April 18, 2022 - PRLog -- Mistral Solutions, a leading embedded design and system engineering company with headquarters in Bangalore, today inaugurated its new Research and Development Centre at IITM Research Park. In India, Mistral has its offices in Delhi, Hyderabad, and NEC Kovilpatti in addition to Bangalore. The new facility at IITM is Mistral's fourth R&D Centre in India.

Mistral is an Industry Partner of IITM. Mistral and IITM Electrical department have been collaborating on various projects with a focus on developing specialised RF ICs and systems in S, L and X-Band for futuristic Aerospace & Defense applications, under the mentorship of Dr. S. Christopher, Professor – IITM Electrical Department and former Chairman of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). Mistral is providing DIE fabrication, bonding, and packaging services, in addition to design, development and supply of evaluation boards to test and prove the IC functionalities.

The R&D centre was formally inaugurated by Padma Bhushan Dr S. Christopher – Professor, IIT Madras, Electrical Dept. and former Chairman, DRDO, Padma Shri Dr. Ashok Jhunjhunwala – Professor, IIT Madras and President, IITM Research Park and Mr Rajeev Ramachandra, CTO and Co-Founder, Mistral Solutions. "The pandemic has pushed engineering resources back to their hometowns. "We realised the importance of having huddle offices in distant cities. Our Development Centres at NEC, Kovilpatti and IITM, Chennai realizes this. In addition to the RF activities in the A&D domain, the IITM centre will also be offering the entire portfolio of embedded design services from Mistral including Board Design, FPGA Design, System Software, Middleware, and Application Development.
