Christopher Wiggins added to Florida Film Funds team

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - April 21, 2022 - PRLog -- Jacksonville-based writer/producer Christopher Wiggins has joined the Production Board of Florida Film Funds (FFF). A prolific content-creator, Mr. Wiggins has written over two dozen screenplays in multiple genres since notching his first script sale of the comedy Mother's Trucking in 2011. Most recently, his production of the horror/fantasy feature film Octagon was acquired by House of Film and High Octane Pictures for domestic and worldwide distribution.

Florida Film Funds is assembling an eleven-member Production Board to review project submissions to its South Florida and Tampa Bay regional financing funds. Comprised of film industry professionals proficient at project development, budgeting, and supervision, the Board is tasked with evaluating feature film and episodic television productions for potential financing under the FFF program.

"I came to know Chris Wiggins several years ago through his work for the 'Create it Here!' program for aspiring Florida screenwriters," said the organization's CEO, Chris Ranung. "His diligence and perceptiveness as a script coach make Chris an ideal addition to our team."

Mr. Wiggins added that "It will be an honor to participate in a program aimed to promote Florida filmmakers and illuminate the wealth of talent throughout the state."

Florida Film Funds LLC is the umbrella organization for a series of regional film financing funds that are being developed to offset the lack of state tax credit incentives available to the Florida film industry. The funds will provide a financial rationale for producers to once again allocate significant resources to the Sunshine State for major motion picture production.
