The 2022 elected board continues to represent a diversity of skills as interpreters, trainers, supervisors, and who bring years of experience in the non-profit sector," said NCIHC President Rosanna Balistreri. "I am proud of the work that the board has done over the past two years to improve our outreach and engagement with members. The mission of this organization belongs to our members and the communities they serve, and it is crucial that NCIHC continues to cater to the diverse needs of our membership communities" Every year, our Annual Membership Meeting (AMM) gives the opportunity for members to meet and officially install a new board, as well as to spend a full day attending keynote presentations and several educational sessions, and to interact with stakeholders in language access. Miss Balistreri noted, "We are grateful to our newly elected board members for their willingness to share their professional wisdom, experience and leadership with the Council. We have a limited number of openings on the NCIHC board every year, nonetheless this should not discourage candidates who were not elected this year from participating again in the election process the following year. I also encourage past candidates and members who are exploring the possibility to engage more actively with the Council to join one of the many NCIHC committees and workgroups as a way to glean a better understanding of the internal structure and operations of our organization." NCIHC is a multidisciplinary organization whose mission is to promote and enhance language access in health care in the United States. The newly elected Board Directors will join the other directors to round out a national group of experts in the language services industry. To learn more about NCIHC, visit http://www.ncihc.org End
