NJ Charity Awards $3,000 Grant to Ukraine Animal Sanctuary

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - April 29, 2022 - PRLog -- The Flying Dog Foundation has been raising money to fund grants to help Shelter Ugolyok in Lviv, Ukraine to sustain in this time of war. Under the protection of Shelter Ugolyok are dogs, cats, horses, cows, goats and more.

This month, the Foundation awarded $3,000 to Shelter Ugolyok. To date, grants awarded to the shelter from The Flying Dog Foundation total $9,671.

"Sanctuary staff have remained and are committed to staying in place, taking in animals left behind or in need of protection," explains The Flying Dog Foundation president, Jacqueline Howard. In turn, they are in need of funding for food, vital supplies, and veterinary care, all while prices are skyrocketing. Informs Howard, "Costs have escalated due to the dangers posed by the war and overwhelming supply chain disruptions. The money we've raised for them will help them to meet this financial challenge."

As others evacuate the country, Shelter Ugolyok's staff are still taking in animals left behind, either surrendered at their doors or found in the streets. In fact, they are still facilitating adoptions.

The Foundation's fundraising efforts for the shelter continue. 100% of all funds raised in the name of Shelter Ugolyok gets to the shelter. Every penny is making a difference.
