IMUA Honors Six At 91st Annual MeetingJean Gardner Receives IMUA's 2021 Lifetime Achievement Award

They were Sharon Primerano, AIG's Inland Marine Construction & Equipment Product Lead North America Marine – Lifetime Achievement; Commenting on Jean Gardner's award, IMUA President & CEO Kevin O'Brien said, "Jean has been actively involved in supporting IMUA for decades. She has served on the IMUA Transportation Committee and was a driving force in many of the committee's accomplishments over the years. Her unique background as an attorney and leader of CAB, an industry-leading provider for in-depth motor carrier analysis, has made Jean a renowned expert. The IMUA has had the privilege of being able to call on Jean with transportation industry-related questions at a moment's notice. "She has also been instrumental in enhancing IMUA's education platform. An excellent, dynamic and highly knowledgeable presenter/instructor, Jean has conducted numerous webinars, classes and seminars for IMUA as well as presented at several Annual Meetings. One of her greatest contributions to IMUA has been her commitment to introducing new educational resources to the association. She has mentored and recruited many committee volunteers and outstanding instructors to IMUA. Jean has made IMUA a better organization." As the winner of the Excellence in Education Award, Ron Castellanos is a tremendous asset to IMUA's education curriculum. He has been a leading member of the Annual Meeting Education Committee for several years producing the highly regarded 'Lessons from Losses,' working with the young professionals on presentation content and delivery. He has also been instrumental in the development of IMUA's e-learning series, serving as a subject matter expert (SME) for the contractors equipment course and personally recruiting SMEs for other courses. He is an outstanding educator and always makes himself available as a resource to IMUA's staff," notes O'Brien. "Mirna-Calderon- IMUA also recognized the contributions of AAIS' Robert Guevara, upon his retirement, for the outstanding contributions he has made to the inland marine insurance industry. IMUA is the national association for the commercial inland marine insurance industry. IMUA serves as the voice of its member companies representing over 90 percent of all commercial inland marine insurers. End
