QUINCY, Ill. - June 4, 2022 - PRLog -- Allton rode out from his ranch one day in 1888 and rode back the same day to find himself in 2008. Somehow his life had made a leap of 120 years. During that 120 years he had been thought of as a family deserter and coward. He had left a wife, two children and a third child on the way. As confused as he was to find himself in 2008, he learned some valuable things about himself that made him more determined to return to his life. If only he could get back to his time and place, he knew he could change to be more like the man he should be, the husband and father his family deserved. During his time in 2008 a good friendship developed, one that would endure across two centuries, because of a unique gift.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

The author grew up in a small town in southern Oklahoma. But while growing up he developed a love of the mountains and open spaces of the west, even never having been there. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma in 1976, within a few months he was offered the opportunity to move out west with his job. He spent his entire 31 year business career in the inter-mountain west region. He still resides there today with his wife of 45 years. Their 3 children and numerous grand-children also live in the area. Over the years while traveling through the inter-mountain states, he often tried to imagine what life might have been like before the area was populated. What was life really like during the early American expansion to the west?And what wouldthe contrast feel like between then and now? That idea along with horseback riding over the years gave rise to the story at hand…Peach Tree Ranch.

Peach Tree Ranch is the first novel written by the author. He considered it enjoyable to put his imagination to pen and paper. If a reader realizes any joy in reading the story, the author feels like he has accomplished his goal.
