Shamanism is thought to be interpreted as every living being is connected on a plane larger than itself and so, it was not surprising the spiritual connection between the writer and the Hummingbird. That being said, however, whether it was through the myths and legends handed down by Native American Indians, Aztecs. Incas or Mayan and beyond or from his own perception the author has captured the essence of this creature in order for us to understand its wonder. Admittedly, I have never considered the tiny species beyond appreciating its beauty or ability to have mastered flight. Now, however, through this work I have been educated on every fiber of its existence, marveling at the knowledge given to me. Picaflor - The Nerve Endings of God. An apt title and representation of unique creation.
