![]() The Black Collegiate Gaming Association (BCGA) Kicks Off Summer 2022 Corners to Colleges HBCU Program
"I'm excited to create history again and bring some of the most deserving and amazing high school students to seven of our 16 HBCU member institutions with Corners to Colleges. We're changing lives and educating hundreds of blacks and women of color to enter and diversify the Gaming industry!", said Keshia Walker, Founder, and Chairwoman of BCGA. To be chosen for the Corners to College HBCU initiative, students had to have a 2.5 or higher GPA, two letters of recommendation from a teacher/guidance counselor and a community representative or non-profit organization. This initiative could not be done without the contributions from our sponsors: Sony Playstation, HyperX, Intel, Google Play, Lenovo, Staples & GameStop. This initiative and each and every endeavor with BCGA cannot be done without these meaningful partnerships with these extraordinary brands. About BCGA The Black Collegiate Gaming Association was established to provide education, access, and career opportunities in the gaming and Esports industry to Black and women of color college students. BCGA offers virtual and on-campus curriculums; Founder and Chairwoman Keshia Walker launched BCGA in May of 2020 after more than 20 years of running successful celebrity events and experiential marketing firms. She made history herself by being the first Black woman to enter the male-dominated field of collegiate gaming & Esports. For more information visit cornerstocolleges.com.
