Ryan Lawn & Tree Celebrates 35th Anniversary by Honoring Veterans and Donating to Veterans Community Project

MERRIAM, Kan. - June 30, 2022 - PRLog -- As part of their celebrations of 35 years in business Ryan Lawn & Tree is honoring veterans and working with Veterans Community Project. The celebration will formally kick off on Friday, July 1, 2022, when a party of red RYAN trucks caravan around Kansas City in honor of military veterans. The caravan will start at RYAN's Kansas City Missouri location (3007 E 85th St, Kansas City, MO 64132) and travel through the Grandview Triangle before arriving at the Veterans Community Project located at 8900 Troost Ave, Kansas City, MO 64131, where RYAN will present Veterans Community Project with a $10,000 donation to aid their efforts to rehabilitate veterans transitioning out of the military. In addition to their donation, RYAN will also offer additional services for the beautification of the VCP VIllage.

Veterans Community Project is a 501(c)(3) organization founded by a group of combat veterans in Kansas City, Missouri who resolved to stand up for their many brothers and sisters who have missed the critical attention they deserve.

VCP's solution to provide critical support services is two-fold:

The Veteran Outreach Center: A walk-in center that serves as a one-stop shop for every type of problem our veterans face every day. Regardless of their time in service, discharge status, or any other qualifier, VCP is ready to help. VCP staff assists Veterans with navigating the VA and their benefits, identification services, mental and physical health referrals, financial counseling, and employment support among other services.

VCP Village: Built by Veterans for Veterans, VCP Village is a planned tiny home community designed to get homeless Veterans off the street and transition them to permanent housing. In contrast to traditional homeless services, a tiny home provides the Veteran with privacy, a sense of security, and the ability to reintegrate at a comfortable pace.
