Mariah Stillbrook signs Three Book Deal with Creative James Media

PASADENA, Md. - July 14, 2022 - PRLog -- Creative James Media, a small press located in Pasadena, Maryland, announced it has signed author Mariah Stillbrook for her YA fantasy series.The first in the series, The Lost Erwain, will release May 2024. 17-year-old Makayla Wood's endearing, idiosyncratic voice paves the way through The Lost Erwain as she is forced to come to terms with a new identity—or her original identity, seeing as she was never the human her adoptive parents raised her into thinking she was. Though the journey she is about to embark on is not what she's had in mind for the entirety of her fast-paced, young adult life—geared towards becoming a lawyer by the age of twenty-two—this hairpin of a curve into a different world entirely, does allow her to form a relationship with the birth parents she never had the chance to know, as well as to find herself in a romantic relationship she may never have encountered otherwise. A courting, as it turns out, is against the law; but that's not where it ends. Makayla has the tools to undo the curse that has the citizens of her homeland on lockdown, but she can only carry out what needs to be done if she is alive, and she was born with more than one villain after her wings.

Mariah Stillbrook, originally from Iowa, lives in Colorado with her two white german shepherds, husband, and little girl. She graduated from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.  She spends most of her days writing, reading, and enjoying the occasional hike. In her late twenties she realized that her writing was missing something, magic. She now focuses her writing on urban fantasy in both adult and young adult genres.
