By: Dailychemist The day is centered on the significant contribution made by talented kids in tackling present and upcoming global concerns. History and Importance The United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution in December 2014 designating 'July fifteen' as World Youth Skills Day. This day is spent in an effort to improve the socio-economic circumstances of today's youth. Additionally, it also addresses the issues of underemployment and unemployment. Since then, World Youth Skills Day activities have served as a forum for discussion amongst young people, TVET institutions, enterprises, employers' organizations, workers' organizations, development partners, and policymakers. The goal of this day is to encourage the abolition of gender discrimination. According to the UN, it is the role of TVET to help kids and adults acquire the skills necessary for employment, decent labour, and entrepreneurship in order to solve various social, economic, and environmental concerns. The most crucial goals to be reached under the 2030 Agenda are in the areas of education and training. The Incheon Declaration's goal of "Education 2030" is perfectly in line with Sustainable Development Goal 4, which is to "Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and develop opportunities for lifelong learning for all."
