Ricky Roman 11th Annual Softball Tournament

JERSEY CITY, N.J. - July 21, 2022 - PRLog -- In celebration of Ricky Roman's 11th anniversary since his bone marrow transplant, the Roman family is hosting the 11th Annual Lil' Ricky Roman Softball Fundraiser to benefit the Icla da Silva Foundation.

The Icla da Silva Foundation saves lives by providing patients in need of a bone marrow or cord blood transplant with logistical, emotional, and financial support. Their goal is to remove barriers to treatment for patients needing a transplant. They have helped over 3000 patients, including Little Ricky.

Your team's $300 donation includes registration for up to 15 players! Proceeds will support patients in need during their treatment and transplant.

ABOUT THE ICLA DA SILVA FOUNDATION
The Icla da Silva Foundation, a nonprofit organization under section 501(c) 3 of the IRS Code, was established in June of 1992 after the death of Icla da Silva, a thirteen-year-old Brazilian girl who had leukemia. She traveled with her family to NYC, NY in an effort to find a matching donor. She died having never found a donor. A note was found by her family asking them to please help her friends from the hospital.

The Mission of the Icla da Silva Foundation is to save the lives of patients with diseases whose only cure is a bone marrow or cord blood transplant by providing emotional, logistical, and financial support to remove barriers to treatment.
