Progummy, a collaborative visual programming app, has raised over $750k in funding since foundation

Seed funding will be used to strengthen product development for the global launch of its consumer version this fall.

TOKYO, Japan - Sept. 1, 2022 - PRLog -- Progummy, the world's first visual programming app with a collaborative editing feature, raised a seed investment of approximately $525k bringing its total amount raised to over $750k. Investors include Genesia Ventures, Inc., Kyoto University of the Arts, and two angel investors.

What is Progummy?
Progummy allows multiple people to create a program in real-time collaboratively then play the created app or game in a multi-player fashion online. Users can create a program by combining blocks on the screen, so there is no need to know any programming language. Creators can simply enjoy learning the basic concepts.

Purpose of fundraising
With the vision of "More fun, better learning, together," we have been creating products that promote collaboration in the learning environment. With this funding, we will further refine Progummy, our collaborative visual programming application, and strengthen our organizational development through global recruitment.

Comment from Yasu Ishibashi, Founder & CEO of Progummy Inc.
I'd like to express my sincere gratitude to all the investors who supported us in this seed round. Progummy was born from my experience teaching programming to my son.
Both play and work are much more enjoyable and efficient when done as a team. Progummy will continue to create a world where teamwork can be more convenient and enjoyable through the support of the best collaborative tech.

Progummy's global launch
This fall, we plan to launch a consumer version of Progummy globally to bring the joy of collaborative learning and a highly effective learning experience to more programming learners. Progummy is available in 64 languages* because it is based on Scratch (an OSS). The global launch of Progummy will include enhanced functionality for users to invite their peers and mentors to participate in projects, allowing users to experience the joy of programming in a group.
