Halfacre Construction Company adds assistant project manager to team

LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. - Aug. 22, 2022 - PRLog -- Halfacre Construction Company (http://www.halfacreconstruction.com/), a Lakewood Ranch-based commercial construction company, recently added Matt Ward as an assistant project manager to its growing team.

Ward brings a wealth of knowledge in project coordination and estimation to the commercial construction company. In his new role as assistant project manager, Ward will support the coordination and management of projects, perform administrative tasks, including requests for proposals and requests for information, build estimates, facilitate communication between office and field staff and ensure projects are on schedule and within budget.

Most recently, Ward served as the project coordinator for Tommy's Express Holdings. During his time there, his day-to-day tasks included thoroughly reviewing corporate and construction contracts and proposals to ensure accuracy, maintaining site development and due diligence databases for multiple project sites and overseeing all related construction activities, among other duties.

Prior to that, Ward was a junior estimator. He performed quantity takeoffs for all water main work, restoration work and other underground utility work, obtained all requests for quotes from subcontractors and processed submittals and change orders.

Ward earned his bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies with a concentration in business and construction management from Arizona State University. In his free time, he enjoys playing ice hockey, golfing and cycling.
