WHAT:          With a song and a prayer, a call to action is underway to stop the assault on children in the Bay Area, across the nation and around the world. The  #PRAY4THECHILDREN CALL TO ACTION: Take three minutes a day to pray for children beginning with family, friends, neighborhoods, cities, states, and nations around the world. Three minutes at 11:30 a.m. daily local time ( representing the time Uvalde's Robb Elementary was attacked by a teenager leaving 19 children and two teachers dead.)

Harris is donating the chart music for his song "Pray for the Children" : https://youtu.be/xwJ70ht_W30 for musicians, artists, schools, mosques, synagogues, churches and organizations to perform the song.  His request in return is that a link of the song's performance be uploaded to the Internet and sent to the #PRAY4THECHILDREN Campaign via the website www.pray4thechildren.com.  The 2014 song is being revised for #PRAY4THECHILDREN Call to Action.

WHEN:          8/22/2022,Today and Every Day! Suggested time of prayer 11:30 a.m. local time, representing the time of the Uvalde, Texas Massacre at Robb Elementary School.

WHY:          Action needs to be taken because children worldwide are under siege not just due to gun violence, but abandonment; sex-trafficking; unprecedented global hunger; child mortality due to COVID-19 (causing resurgence of previously declining diseases); conflicts and climate change related disasters among other attacks on the lives of children.  Praying three minutes a day will not only engage the power of the Creator but it will empower people to take the local actions to make a global impact for the uplifting of children who will inherit the world adults have created.  From prayer, to thoughts, to actions, the trajectory for change can begin with a simple daily act of praying for the children.

Everyone from atheists to people of faith are asked to pray three minutes a day.

Atheists, according to Harris, can use the three minutes to think about good things to help children like volunteering at schools, visiting children's hospitals or donating to children's charities among other goodwill acts. People of faith should pray for three minutes daily and put their prayers into action also.

The suggested time of 11:30 a.m. is in recognition of the May 24, 2022 tragedy in Uvalde, Texas in solidarity to the families while remembering families and communities around the nation and world who have experienced school shootings and other onslaughts of children.
