Blue Heart Records signs Lil' Red and The Rooster

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Aug. 23, 2022 - PRLog -- Blue Heart Records is pleased to announce the signing of 2019 International Blues Challenge finalists Jennifer Milligan and Pasqual Fouquet, aka Lil' Red and The Rooster.  A deep calling led them both to the Blues, and the Blues brought them together in 2010. For over a decade, Jen "Lil' Red" Milligan and Pascal "The Rooster" Fouquet have been fine-tuning their style while living and breathing their music.  Born in Normandy, France in the early 60's, The Rooster began studying classical guitar at eleven and has been a professional musician since 1980.  Lil' Red, born in Columbus, Ohio in the late 60's, studied all the artistic disciplines: music, dance, acting, writing, painting, martial arts and meditation. She holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and an MFA in Contemporary Performance from Naropa University.

For their sophomore album, the duo assembled a GRAMMY-winning dream team including engineer Blaise Barton (Joyride Studio), Kenny "Beedy Eyes" Smith on drums and Felton Crews on bass.  The title track, "Keep On Lovin' You," features Blues Hall of Famer Billy Branch on vocals and harmonica.  The entire collection presents Lil' Red's message of the power of love in their self-described retro modern blues signature style.
