WHS XC/Track Boosters Host the 49th Annual Walpole Labor Day Road Race to Benefit 200+ Athletes

WALPOLE, Mass. - Aug. 23, 2022 - PRLog -- The Walpole High School Cross Country/Track & Field Boosters Organization invites the community to register for the 49^th Annual Walpole Labor Day Road Race to be held September 5^th at Walpole High School.  Participants can register online at www.walpoleroadrace.org.

The Walpole Road Race is the largest annual fundraiser to benefit Walpole High School's Cross Country and Track & Field programs.  Generous donations from local businesses, including this year's Platinum Level Sponsors, Herb19 and Global Tooling Solutions, support over 200 athletes on 6 teams across 3 seasons.  "Seeing all the sponsors come back year after year to support our kids – even through the pandemic – is so heartwarming," says parent and Race Director, Dave Bent. "Cross country and track & field are such amazing outlets for these kids.  I can't thank the sponsors enough – they make it all possible."  With over 75 sponsors and over 400 registrants (and counting), the Boosters Organization is hoping to raise over $25,000 this year to purchase new uniforms and equipment, provide stipends for assistant coaches, and award seven college scholarships to graduating seniors.
