Evan graduated from Naropa University in 2001 with an MFA in Creative Writing. He left there with a bunch of short stories and decided to publish them independently on Amazon in his book Accelerated Learning Techniques for a Budding Sociopath: A Bunch of Short Stories.

Through his career he learned to be a freelance writer for local magazines and "zines" alike publishing poetry and lifestyle articles.

Evan had the privilege of working extensively as a cannabis reporter during Denver, Colorado's "boom" years where he interviewed hemp CEOs, cannabis celebrities like Dennis Kitchen of Dope Comics and The Real Dude from the Big Lebowski film (yes, there was a real dude!) among many others.

He can also claim he was the 2nd cannabis journalist on Google Search, by date, to write Budtender Horror Stories, based off the common Bartender Horror Stories, with the publication VICE being the first to do it before him.

Most recently he published a book about his blogging and magazine career in his, "Money Face Your Writing: Publish, Blog, Get Paid!" available in eBook and print form on Amazon.

This weekend, August 27th and 28th 2022, he will be at booth C8 at the FocoComicCon.com in Fort Collins where he will be debuting his first full length comic book in a limited edition called JillTheTreasureHuntress.com.

More than four years in the making and a labor of love, Evan's idea was originally four pages and now the comic has turned into over thirty pages in length!

Lately Evan has taken on his blog, GoshDarnBlog.com, to include stories about Boulder, Colorado, writing about interesting people, places and all the restaurants he likes.

Dj Cola is Evan's Dj name and he's played at numerous bars in clubs around Boulder, Denver and Colorado Springs. He also makes techno and recently made a cover of a U2 song into a gabber track with The Slums of Mediocrity of NYC.

Currently he's working on a Zombie Novel and four chapters can be read for free at his website called TheSoccerZombie.com.
