Flagler County Teens-In-Flight Moves to Larger Location

PALM COAST, Fla. - Sept. 7, 2022 - PRLog -- Teens-In-Flight Inc. is pleased to announce that the organization has moved to a new, larger location at 275 Old Moody Blvd. in Palm Coast from 120 Airport Rd. The new location allows the 501(C)3 to now house their airplanes in their own hangar.

"We've been looking for a space that would better fit our student's needs," said Retired Marine Colonel Jack Howell, the program's founder. "The new quarters include four offices as well as the hangar," he added. The Teens-In-Flight flight program teaches everyone how to fly, but especially benefits military children, first responders, and at-risk teens. They have had 100% of program graduates go to college.

The first event at the new location is this weekend and will be an Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) Rusty Pilot seminar and cookout for 60 pilots. A Rusty Pilot seminar allows pilots that haven't flown in a while to plan a course of action and schedule a lesson or flight review. Pilots network and receive FAA Wings credits and an endorsement for their logbook. The media is invited to attend.

A grand opening, that will be open to the public, will be scheduled before the end of the year.

The Teens-In-Flight program teaches everyone, but focuses on helping teenagers earn a private pilot's license, some at no cost. Students have been placed at Stetson University, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, the U.S. Air Force Academy, United States Naval Academy, West Point, the U.S. Military Academy and more.
