DC Music Summit Announces 2022 Conference Sponsors

WASHINGTON - Sept. 8, 2022 - PRLog -- The DC Music Summit (DCMS), an award-winning 501(c)(3) non-profit, today announced its 2022 conference sponsors, which include a diverse group of D.C. area organizations committed to giving back to the creative community.

Guided by the theme "Foundation," the DC Music Summit's fifth annual conference will be held in person October 14 - 16, 2022, at Duke Ellington School of the Arts, a historical site that nurtures talented youth in the spirit of its legendary namesake. Learn more and register here.

Conference sponsors to date include: Duke Ellington School of the Arts; D.C. Creative Affairs Office and the Office of Cable Television, Film, Music, and Entertainment; DC Strings Workshop; Machine Room Studio; Chuck Levin's Washington Music Center; Pie Shop; Jubert; Vetrepreneur; Upset the Setup; and Alchemical Records. Sponsors play a lead role in providing DCMS with the resources needed to serve its growing community.

As a Black-owned non-profit, DCMS has a proud history of accelerating the careers of independent musicians, with a focus on women, communities of color, and other underrepresented groups. Since 2016, DCMS has served hundreds of individuals each year at its Summit, bringing together musicians, industry professionals, and influencers in support of the D.C. creative scene. The DC Music Summit embraces seasoned, independent, emerging, and new artists.

Session tracks at the 2022 event include: community development, youth development, business management, marketing, wellness, professional development, and thriving through COVID-19. Summit presenters and performers gain access to a diverse community of fellow industry professionals and artists from the D.C. area and beyond.
