Follow on Google News | GovComm's Wrong-Way Vehicle Detection System Eliminates False Calls – GuaranteedThe company's patent pending Detection Optimizer provides a Six Sigma level of detection accuracy
By: GovComm Inc. To improve detection accuracy, GovComm engineers developed a calibration tool called the Detection OptimizerTM which controls detection logic at high frame rates and in real-time. After detection zones and expected direction of travel are configured, system tools examine live vehicle direction and velocity. The Detection OptimizerTM is then configured to define a wrong-way event by the minimum number of consecutive frames that a vehicle is observed traveling in the wrong direction, the minimum distance (measured in pixels) between frames and the minimum total distance. When the Detection OptimizerTM is properly configured for forward and rear facing detection zones, the system provides a Six Sigma level of detection accuracy. GovComm's AI software engine is a real-time object detecting machine learning platform that identifies, classifies, and analyzes the presence and behavior of vehicles, persons, and other objects. Our systems interoperate with advanced traffic management system software and pairs with ONVIF® compliant ITS cameras. About GovComm: GovComm ITS equipment is ISO 9001 manufactured and developed, then laboratory tested ensuring that a series of standards that define, establish, and maintain an effective quality assurance system is in place to guarantee our customers receive the highest quality products existing in the market.
