South Asian Streaming Service Cpics Expands Executive Team, Announces Head of Programming

LOS ANGELES - Sept. 27, 2022 - PRLog -- Cpics, a US-based premier subscription streaming and video-on-demand service beginning with the focus on the South Asian audience, announces Nila Dhugga as their Head of Programming.

Dhugga is excited to join the Cpics team and has an extensive background working in multiple industries, including a longtime career as an attorney before transitioning into her role as a producer. Dhugga, who is devoted to the arts and plans on working with Cpics to further connect their projects with consumers, has spent her career pushing for a more diverse presence in creative communities. She has demonstrated her passion for this work through her previous roles as a 3rd-term City of Tracy Arts Commissioner and as Treasurer of the Grand Foundation, a non-profit serving the local theater community in Tracy, CA.

A South Asian woman herself, Nila is passionate about diverse storytelling and will make that the forefront of her work with Cpics. "I'm thrilled and honored to join Cpics as head of programming," says Dhugga. "It's very important for me to be able to serve Cpics and its consumers while putting South Asian representation at the forefront."

Dhugga's deep understanding of community building, her business acumen, and knowledge of production management is pivotal to her new role at Cpics. Along with the streaming service's CEO, Kavi Raz, Dhugga intends to bring on programming that will open doors for independent filmmakers and expand on Cpics' already diverse selections of original series.

Cpics will feature a diverse range of original projects such as The Gems of Ruby Hill, Dating Desi Ishstyle, The Plaza, and Bollywood Dance Academy.
