Diaz Trade Law's President Jen Diaz Appointed Chair of Beacon Council Trade & Logistics Committee

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. - Oct. 10, 2022 - PRLog -- Jennifer Diaz, Esq., of Diaz Trade Law was appointed as the new Chair of the Beacon Council's Trade and Logistics Industry Committee.

The Miami-Dade Beacon Council (https://www.beaconcouncil.com), a public-private partnership, is the official economic development organization for Miami-Dade County. Led by a professional staff and Board of volunteer community leaders, the organization facilitates business growth and expansion locally, nationally and internationally. The Council was founded in 1985 as an outgrowth of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce to focus on business recruitment, expansion and retention.

Within the council, the Trade and Logistics Industry Committee works to further develop the industry by collaborating with public and private sector industry leaders, educational institutions and institutional partners including PortMiami, Miami International Airport, World Trade Center Miami, The International Trade Consortium (ITC), and The Florida Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association (FCBF). It also supports recruitment, expansion, and retention programs, as well as the related industry Opportunity Miami Trade and Logistics industry recommendations. Jennifer is set to serve as chair of the committee, alongside Chair Elect, Frank Diaz, Executive Vice President of Logistics and Distribution at PriceSmart.

The committee has created three subcommittees to support their goals:

• Talent subcommittee with co-chairs, Nimrod Simeon, Trade Analyst of Global Trade & Business Development at PortMiami and Murat Erkoc, Director of Antony Burns Center for Advanced Supply Chain Management at University of Miami.  
• Innovation and E-Commerce subcommittee with co-chairs, Kadion Preston, Founder & CEO of Caribshopper and Ashley Mendoza, Sales Manager of International Shipping & US Distribution, Interport.  
• Marketing subcommittee with co-chairs, Gregory Maloney, Director of the Masters in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Florida International University and Bryce Potzer, Sales Manager at OCR Services Inc., Global Trade Management Software Solutions.
