Krauss Funeral Home Announces Extensive Renovation, Welcome Son and Daughter into Business

FRANKLIN SQUARE, N.Y. - Oct. 10, 2022 - PRLog -- Krauss Funeral Home of Franklin Square, NY has been serving the needs of the community with sensitivity and compassion for over 111 years, and owners Stephen and Rose-Marie Graziano – who took over the business two years ago – are proud to announce not only the completion of an extensive renovation, but the inclusion of their two children into the family business as well.

Stephen has been with Krauss since 1996, eventually working his way up to manager; when the original owner retired two years ago, he and Rose-Marie – who is a native Italian language speaker – purchased the funeral home and have run it ever since.

"We decided that we wanted to buy it because our passion for helping families through a tough time runs in our blood," said Stephen. "We cater to each family's individual needs and customize each funeral to meet every family's desires. We specialize in Medicaid funerals, offer funeral pre-planning, and are able to ship the dearly departed anywhere in the world. Here at Krauss Funeral Home, we treat our families as one of our own."

After taking over ownership of the funeral home, the family embarked on an ambitious renovation of the establishment which currently is nearly 90 percent complete. While the main design aesthetics remain the same, the chapels, bathrooms, and the lounge area have been updated and upgraded in order to ensure a comfortable and comforting customer experience.

One of the major changes – in order to create room for social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic – was the removal of a partition that separated Chapel F into two sections, opening the space up for up to 100 people at any given time. Other improvements include new carpeting and furniture being installed along with a host of other amenities.

That's not the only uplifting news coming out of Krauss Funeral Home, as Stephen and Rose-Marie are now welcoming their own children into the business as well. Daughter Stephanie and son Vincent are currently attending mortuary school to become funeral directors themselves; Stephanie is currently working at the home performing administrative duties, and both of the children look forward to standing by their parents' side once their education is complete.
