Representatives Larry Bucshon, M.D., R-Indiana, and Ami Bera, M.D., D-California have introduced a bill that intends to prevent the impending 2023 4.42% Medicare pay cut. This bill - H.R. 8800, the Supporting Medicare Providers Act of 2022 - extends the 3% increase to the 2022 physician fee schedule conversion factor that Congress passed last year for 2023. It would also offset the proposed 1.42% reduction to the 2023 conversion factor in the 2023 physician fee schedule proposed rule.
