HYANNIS, Mass. - Oct. 18, 2022 - PRLog -- About the Book
Inspired by the tumultuous events of the 2020s, Pantalla Parade delineates an issue central to our times: how small decisions made in the moment can set the world on fire. Delving into the lives of people from different countries, ethnicities, religions, and orientations, Pantalla Parade reflects on the metanarratives that are proffered by media, public figures, and the mob in times of crisis.

Praise for Pantalla Parade
"Laura Swart has created an amazing world of fascinating characters. An unruly carnival, their words dance and sing, pulling us deeper into their souls and our own."
-George Melnyk, University of Calgary

"This is a dreamy portrait. A languid cinematic saunter through the lives of a panoply of our collective selves. As we are drawn deeper and deeper into these recounted episodes, the seduction of the reality is so riveting we cannot turn away. From one encounter to the next, you will find revealed: your friend, your neighbor, or your relative. But what is most striking is that through the mastery of the author's compilation you will find she has composed an intricate and complex portrait of yourself. And in these glimpses of our essential lives, she ignites our bias and bigotry and compassion and sympathy. The level of intimacy is compelling."
-Lonnie Graham, Pew Fellow and Professor Pennsylvania State University

"This is a journey towards letting go of societal expectations so that 'one by one/masks and/weapons fall.'"
-Catherine Flaherty, Educator and InterFaith Speaker
