WIN Network Makes Huge Gains In Fight For Racial, Economic, and Civic JusticeCelebrities, Communities and Prominent Speakers to Highlight Equitable Change during WIN Week 2022
By: Chromatic Black WIN Week will feature the nation's foremost social justice change and thought leaders across sectors committed to advancing intergenerational health and well-being and equity across the nation. To address these unprecedented challenges, WIN Week's design is rooted in community, building non-traditional bridges, and changing the narrative, system, and structures to advance intergenerational well-being and equity. "WIN Week's underpinning is that to achieve lasting change, we first have to grapple with the painful legacies of the past that inform our current beliefs and reality. On the foundation of that shared analysis, we can create pathways for a more just future built on mutual abundance" said Somava Saha, founder of Well-being and Equity (WE) in the World and executive lead of the WIN Network. All WIN members commit to dismantling oppressive policies of structural racism and other inequities. "We see this as a precondition to building pathways for a more just, equitable, and inclusive society in which everyone can participate, prosper, reach their full potential, and contribute to that of others" noted Abeni Bloodworth, co-founder and chief executive officer, chromatic black™ which serves on the Core Implementation Team of the WIN Network. WIN's work is grounded in shifting relationships, policies, investments and narratives at the organizational, community, state, and national levels to create the world we all want for ourselves and for future generations. We believe this cannot happen without unprecedented collaboration. "WIN accomplishes more by working together in a movement to thrive together" observed Bobby Milstein, director of system science, the Rippel Foundation's ReThink Health Initiative. The power of this movement grows when all of us feel we belong and are valued for what we bring. That is how we build the civic muscle needed to expand humane housing, meaningful work and wealth, lifelong learning, and other vital conditions for well-being, equity, and racial justice."
