The 1876 Athletic Foundation looks forward to graduating athletes becoming productive citizens, preserving and/or restoring the environment; The foundation serves as a liaison for the university's athletic department and other sports alumni organizations, focusing on 3 areas: 1. Support of the overall athletic budget, 2. Helping to align Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) agreements, and 3. Establishing and enhancing the fan experience to continue a pipeline of support. The 1876 Athletic Foundation will be led by Prairie A&M University alumni, Edwin Drayden – President, Roosevelt Huggins – Treasurer, Joseph Clay – Secretary, and an advisory board of business leaders. The group was selected from a group of long-time supporters of the university's athletic department donating more than $300,000 to support athletic and academic scholarships. About 1876 Athletic Foundation Our goal is to bridge the financial gap within the athletic budget focusing on scholarships, facilities, and game day experience. We will fund the foundation by elevating donor profiles with significant, sustainable gifts!
