Follow on Google News | Better Together to offer Parents' Night Out Nov. 4 in NaplesBy: Better Together The program offers parents, grandparents and other caregivers access to a couple of hours of no-cost care for children ages infant through 17 years old. Better Together will provide background-checked volunteers in addition to dinner, games and fun for children to enjoy while parents are away. "Southwest Florida parents have been through so much over the past few weeks and need some time to take a break from their new daily routines," said Megan Rose, CEO of Better Together. "Parents' Night Out provides parents and guardians with time to take care of their needs with the reassurance that their children are having a fun evening under the supervision of background-checked volunteers." Parents' Night Out will take place from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4 at Covenant Church of Naples, located at 6926 Trail Blvd. in Naples. A privately funded and professionally supported organization, Better Together is made up of volunteers who believe helping people help themselves is the best way to restore dignity and bring families together. Through the Better Families program, families are offered a preventive alternative to foster care while they get the help they need. To date, the program has kept 98% of children served out of foster care. The Better Jobs program was created to address the 76% of families that come to Better Together because of economic hardship tied to unemployment.
