Naacp Stockton Branch Announces 2022 Annual Freedom Fund Awards

STOCKTON, Calif. - Nov. 8, 2022 - PRLog -- The NAACP Stockton Branch is pleased to announce that Dr. Earl Taylor, local Physician/Surgeon, Ms. Tori Verber Salazar, San Joaquin District Attorney, Ms. Evelyn Tolbert, Retired City Councilmember (Tracy), Rev. Terrance Saffold, President of San Joaquin Ministers Alliance, Ms. Nesha Ward, Professional Fitness & Nutrition Coach and Mr. Sekou Millington, Chief of Police (Tracy) will receive the 2022 NAACP Freedom Fighter Awards. These outstanding community leaders will be honored for their excellence in service at the Annual NAACP Stockton Branch Freedom Fund Gala. Dr. Otashe Golden will be inducted into our Hall of Fame for her work in community and during the COVID-19 pandemic. The local leaders both community and corporate will be honored on November 26, 2022 at 6:00 pm with a reception and dinner at the Brookside Golf & Country Club.

The purpose of the Freedom Fund is to support the NAACP's local scholarship program. A detail press release will be provided on keynote speaker. There will also be a reception, formal dinner, and raffle prizes. Freedom Fund Chair, Ms. Gloria Johnson said, "This annual event provides ongoing support to the operations of our NAACP branch and youth scholarships".
