What if Jewish Grandmothers Gave Sex Advice?

HAMILTON, Ontario - Nov. 21, 2022 - PRLog -- A polyamorous, ex-Orthodox Rabbi has created a novelty Jewish humor book poking fun at the traditionally conservative older Jewish generations.

The book, Bubby's Kama Sutra, claims to provide a variety of sex poses and advice from an experienced Jewish grandmother.

But there's a twist, which will be revealed when users actually leaf through the book.

"This was inspired by those books that promise to tell you 'what men know about women' and then you open them and they're blank", says the book's creator, Shalom Shore. "Except here the plot twist does not involve blank pages, but it does involve a lot of food"

Shore, who was raised in a devoutly religious home in Jerusalem, Israel is no stranger to tongue in cheek anti-establishment projects. A previous endeavor entitled Kiruv vs. Orthodoxy, is a card game where users pick the most controversial card from a list of common Jewish traits and traditions. The game was successfully crowdfunded on Indigogo and has sold hundreds of copies.

Now Shore has turned his attention to sex, a highly taboo subject in the Orthodox community he grew up in. "No one ever talked about it, you were shamed for having a sex drive, and you were given almost zero sex education," explains Shore.  The book aims to poke fun at traditionalist attitudes that are often seen in older Jewish generations.

"My grandparents joke a lot about sex, as all Jewish grandparents do. But they still struggle to understand some of this 'newfangled' relationship styles that the youth of today are getting involved in," says Shore.

He says his grandparents are overall supportive of his polyamorous lifestyle, even if they don't understand it. His parents though, are another matter.
