VAUGHAN, Ontario - Nov. 22, 2022 - PRLog -- If you don't know about welding, this likely means you don't know about duty cycle. It's very important that you know this term as it's a vital concept you will need as a professional welder. We are going to go over what this is and how it works.

What is The Duty Cycle?

A duty cycle is used on a welding machine. It's the process that calculates the exact amount of time need to spend on a specific welding device. To put it simply, it's the amount of time you are able to run the welding machine and the measurement of overall performance within a 10 minute timeframe.

How is This Cycle Calculated?

Timing is given to you as a percentage on the specs plate of the welding machine and the actual duty cycle is the measurement of time. On average, a 10 minute period at 40 degrees celsius is considered the standard.
