SANYO DENKI Announced Construction of a New Factory in the Philippines

TORRANCE, Calif. - Dec. 8, 2022 - PRLog -- SANYO DENKI CO., LTD. (Head office: Toshima-ku, Tokyo; Chairman of the Board & CEO: Shigeo Yamamoto) will build a new factory at SANYO DENKI PHILIPPINES, INC. (CEO/President: Hirokazu Takeuchi), a group company of SANYO DENKI CO., LTD, to expand its production capacity.

Objective of new factory construction:
From April 2021, SANYO DENKI Group began implementing the 9th Mideum-term Management Plan. The plan states "provide high-quality products and services suited to a top brand to all customers worldwide" in the action guidelines, and in order to realize this, we are engaged in a range of initiatives across the Group. As part of such efforts, we will build a new factory, Building 4, on the premises of SANYO DENKI PHILIPPINES, INC. with the aim of increasing its production capacity. With this expansion, we will be ready for rapidly increasing demand from communications equipment and semiconductor manufacturing equipment, our group's key markets, as well as for medical equipment and quick EV chargers that are expected to grow in the near future. With the addition of the new Building 4, the production capacity of SANYO DENKI PHILIPPINES, INC. will increase by approximately 25%.
