GET's Dain Schult Offers More Commentary On the Continuing Death Throes of Traditional Radio

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Dec. 20, 2022 - PRLog -- Global Entertainment Technology, Inc., ("GET"), continues to acknowledge the reality of traditional AM/FM radio dying. Internet Radio and streaming audio are overtaking it.

GET Chairman, Dain L. Schult stated "That it's commonly believed that radio's popularity is dying and young people won't ever start listening to the radio. According to Edison Research, the AM/FM radio reach among Gen Z (ages between 13 and 24) at 55%. The days of that percentage approaching 100% are long gone.

"We continue to study the viability of formats that can capture the sound and excitement of live terrestrial radio the way it used to be but reimagined with it all going digital with GET's Internet Radio stations and worldwide syndication through our Miracle Wonderland Radio Company.

"For example, Talk Radio has the oldest listener median age (56) of any kind of format in the country. Some of the most recognizable names in talk radio mirror their audience's age with Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck both pushing 60 themselves. And talk radio isn't helped by many of these talk show hosts on the dying AM radio band, which compounds the problem of attracting younger listeners. Besides car manufacturers want to get rid of having an AM radio in their new cars like they eliminated cassette and CD players in the past.
