kCaloria gives you the chance to build an expansive and intricate food chain that must overcome obstacles at every turn! Sow the seeds o a thriving ecosystem with precious water ties, grow verdant gardens with every fungi/plant tile, and fill this space with the perfect balance of herbivores, omnivores, carnivores, and humans too!

Their tile game kcaloria is a love letter to the environment and all things that scurry, slither, and fly. From small, industrious insects to noble, old-growth trees, the environment is not one monolithic entity but a network of niches and freshly unearthed opportunities waiting to be explored.

They wanted kcaloria to remind us of spending their summers camping under the stars with the scouts, fishing in creeks for crapies and the occasional turtle, and collecting lizards that sunned themselves on our front porch in shoe boxes with small holes cut-out. The removal of a seemingly insignificant pest or the overhunting of a keystone species in an ecosystem can create ripples felt far down the food chain.

The kcaloria Design Team has spent the last years designing, drawing, play-testing, translating, crying, negotiating, re-drawing, bleeding, and networking to get our game to this point.
