Prior to that he was the Texas State Director for Nationwide Retirement Solutions overseeing the development and servicing of city and county government retirement plans. Michael earned the highly sought after CFP® designation while working for Fidelity Investments in 1999 where he worked with high net-worth clients and was a fixed income specialist for his branch.

A valedictorian of his graduating class at Fayetteville State University, he earned his degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Banking and Finance. Prior to that he served as a Sergeant in the Army's 82nd Airborne Division where he received numerous medals as an intelligence analyst, team leader, paratrooper, and codebreaker. He is a Gulf War Veteran.

Michael and his wife Rhonda of 35 years, give so much of themselves to those in need. As someone who never forgets what it was like to be homeless, Michael also selflessly and joyfully pours his God-given resources of time, talent, and money into his mission of giving joy, love, and hope to others.
