Ferooz Sekandarpoor says, "If anyone tells me the region needs to catch up with the rest of the world, I'd ask them to get a reality check. 3000 attendees were at the 5th Saudi Health Simulation Conference. Need I say more? The warmth, culture, adoption of best practices, subject matter expertise and learning mindset of healthcare simulation professionals in the Middle East rivals any other place. As executive board member, my role is to maximize outreach and resource exchange between regional and global sim communities. TBH, it's easier done than said. The formal role includes operational health and strategic alliances in alignment with the mission and vision of the organization. Healthcare Simulation Middle East is a US 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, non-profit organization that prioritizes compliance with the legal framework governing its formation.
