Follow on Google News | Members of the AJHS Thespian Troupe Win AwardsKatherine Davis received a Superior rating in Solo Musical. Tiffany Hutcheson received two Superior ratings, one for Costume Design and one for Costume Construction. Hutcheson's work can be viewed during the high school's upcoming production of "Spamalot" at 7 p.m. Feb. 16 and 17 at the Performing Arts Center, 2525 S. Ironwood Drive in Apache Junction. Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for students. The box office opens at 6 p.m. on both days. "We are proud of Katherine's and Tiffany's efforts and their dedication to support the entire troupe," said Paul Lanphear, drama instructor/teacher at AJHS. "On behalf of the theater department and our student thespians, I invite the community to help support our students' efforts by attending the production. No spoilers here, but even if the actors don't find the Holy Grail, audience members are sure to enjoy an evening of fun and laughter." AJHS emphasizes a well-rounded education where academics, sports and extracurricular activities allow students to grow scholastically, physically and emotionally. AJHS graduates have access to more scholarships per student than in most communities in the Valley and qualifying students have access to Promise for the Future to earn a tuition-free education at Central Arizona College. Registration for all new students who wish to enroll in Apache Junction Unified School District schools are currently being accepted at all school locations.
