Christian Black was known as 'Rah Rah' throughout the 90s as the lead vocalist of NEG and is known as one of the most iconic voices in Go-Go music. Teamed up with several talented original members such as Khari Pratt, Leonard Huggins (Award Nominated Producer) and others, have produced some of Go-Go's most memorable original hits such as 'The Water Dance,' 'Van Damn' and 'ST Period' just to name a few. In the early 2000s, Black reinvented himself as 'Rapper' the leader of his own outfit, 'The WHAT? Band.' Establishing a different band with a different sound along with a different dynamic to his persona to include band members Tylisa Brown and Killa Cal (Rare Essence) and their percussion ensemble that infuses an old Go-Go style with a new bounce beat style as well. Recently, NEG performed at the Capital One Arena for the Washington Wizards Friday Night Concert Series and Friday, February 3 both bands will not only be on the stage simultaneously as Rah Rah battles Rapper in the next installment of 'Go vs Go' but also each band will perform their separate hits at The Fillmore Silver Spring.
