She has been a major contributor to affordable housing development, financing, organizational management, and business development for over 30 years. Before her current post, she managed the Atlanta Neighborhood Development Partnership's multi-jurisdiction single-housing program. She was the Assistant Director of Housing for the State of Georgia's Housing Finance Agency. Furthermore, she has held executive roles in non-profit housing development entities in the Midwest and Northeast. She also currently serves on the boards of the Emory Board of Visitors, Georgia Advancing Communities Together, Cadence Bank Community Development Advisory board and several other appointments.

"The HouseATL Homeownership Working Group understands that homeownership is the catalyst for thriving communities", states Dr. Cade. "Higher homeownership percentages indicate stability of students and residents, continuity of customers and clients, and the investment of resources necessary to attract capital, services, and businesses for communities of opportunity." Ensuring that homeownership is accessible and attainable for all, is the basis of vibrant communities and a strong nation. Preserving homeownership undergirds individual resiliency, decreases and stabilizes the return on investment made by the homeowners in our communities. We are committed to advancing key initiatives and strategies focused on both increase and sustainability."
