Garden City REALTOR® Drew Streett receives SC REALTORS® Advocate Award

GARDEN CITY, S.C. - Feb. 15, 2023 - PRLog -- Lee Hewitt, Broker-in-Charge of Garden City Realty, is pleased to announce that Drew Streett of Streett Property Consultants was awarded the REALTOR® Advocate Award from the South Carolina REALTORS® (SCR).

The South Carolina REALTOR® Advocate Award is given annually to a REALTOR® member who demonstrates consistent effort and unwavering commitment as an advocate for the real estate industry.

Streett was selected this year's recipient because of his tireless advocacy for SCR. As an active practitioner, Streett stepped up to serve the association as the SCR Legislative Committee Chair. In this role, he was steadfast in ensuring that SCR's Legislative Agenda was on track at the State House.

Likewise, he recognizes the importance of taking an active role in advocacy and raising awareness of issues at the local and state levels.

Streett is a member of the Coastal Carolinas Association of REALTORS® (CCAR), SCR, and the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). He also is active within his community.

He graduated from the CCAR Leadership Program, where he has held many leadership positions, including president and past chairman of the Legislative Committee. He is a 2004 REALTOR® Image Award recipient and was awarded REALTOR® of the Year in 2010.

At SCR, Streett served as president in 2018, was named SCR's REALTOR® of the Year in 2019, and served as the 2021-2022 SCR Legislative Chair. In addition, he has held more than 60 positions on various committees, including Executive, Legislative, and Professional Standards Committees, along with the SCR Board of Directors.

At NAR, he serves on the Board of Directors, the Federal Taxation Committee, the Insurance Committee, Resort and Second Home Real Estate Committee, and Business Issues Policy Committee.

Streett has been with GCR since 2001 and, throughout the years, has earned top listing and selling awards, including Top Producer, Listing Agent of the Year, and Selling Agent of the Year.

He is a member of Belin United Methodist Church in Murrells Inlet. In addition, he has served as president of the Murrells Inlet Rotary Club and was recognized by the Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow.
